Michelle Ferguson is the voice behind Two Brother’s Blankets. A resident to Georgia for all of her adult life, she lives with her husband of 8 years, her two sons, aged 7 and 5, and her fur babies: a lab mix named Lexi and a beagle mix named Lucy. Michelle specializes in creating unique, easy to follow patterns to create items for every member of the family. When she’s not reading or watching football with her family, whom she says are her greatest supporters, she’s letting coffee lead her to designing some of the hottest items on Ravelry. From home decor to women’s fashion to items for children, she really does it all.
Here’s what Michelle had to say about designing:
She has been featured on the cover of Happily Hooked Magazine, her most recent being the August of 2016 edition. Her fashion designs are taking Ravelry by storm. What I noticed most about Two Brother’s Blankets is that Michelle’s designs are created with ALL women in mind. Not just those who fit into a certain box. As a plus size woman for most of my adult life, it is certainly evident to me that the plus size community is often times left hanging. Many patterns are only written up to large or extra large, and never with a positive ease enough to drape properly over a plus sized woman. Plus sized women don’t like clingy items. Michelle has hit her mark. I see project after project of her fans creating her plus sized items and they are items I would not only wear, but I would make for myself. From the plus sized community, we thank you, well done, Michelle!
We are all excited to see what amazing designs you have to offer us this next year, Michelle. Keep doing a marvelous job!
