Renaissance Elvin Hippie Scoodie Pattern Release

Posted on July 28, 2014 by articlesofadomesticgoddess
PATTERN RELEASE!! Renaissance Elvin Hippie Scoodie

Written for 6 Months-Adult.

Here Here, Rennies! I know who the belle of the rennie ball’s going to be this year!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 Here in Texas we have a GIANT Renaissance festival called the Texas Renaissance Festival. A lot of people don’t know this about me, but my husband and I were married at the Texas Renaissance Festival. One day, Ryan turned to me and asked me “Don’t you want to be a princess for your wedding?” And that was it! We were married in a gorgeous chapel there with our entire wedding party and 50 person reception in full garb. I’m not sure even today how I pulled that one off. Here are some photos of my wedding just because I want to share!

(Photos by Caffrey’s Photography)

So, this style is certainly something that is close to my heart. I have MANY more patterns in the works right now that I have designed specifically in this style because it is so special to me. I hope you enjoy this one! 🙂

PATTERN RELEASE! Grapevine Kitchen Bag Caddy and Potholder

Posted on July 24, 2014 by articlesofadomesticgoddess

Pattern Release!

Grapevine Kitchen Bag Caddy and Potholder Pattern

Skill level: Intermediate for the star stitch, but I believe that even a beginner can complete intermediate patterns if they’re explained thoroughly, and I believe this pattern is. 🙂 Star Stitch video and detailed break down of the stitch included. If you’re still having problems, I would be happy to help.

Materials:
H hook and E hook
Preferred Yarn: Any
worsted weight (I used red heart because it’s what I had on hand and the pot holder was an afterthought. You may want to spring for cotton since acrylic melts when near heat.)
Off White/Tan for base, Purple, Forest Green, and Dark Brown for
Grape VinesTapestry needle
Scissors

I actually made this for myself. My kitchen is in a grape/wine theme and this fits beautifully. I plan to sell a plain caddy and potholder and offer separate appliques for other kitchen themes, so if you’ve got a suggestion for something you’d like to see a pattern for, shoot me a message and I will see what I can get done!

Not shown: Optional Potholder Grapevine Appliques.

Don’t crochet? You may order a custom Kitchen bag caddy set (in any style) (finished item) by messaging me on Facebook!
I plan to release the plain bag and potholder patterns as separate patterns in the future as well as the grapevine pieces as a separate pattern as well because I plan to offer separate patterns for different appliques that would also work well in a kitchen. Some that I am turning over in my head are Sunflowers, Anchors, Teddy Bears, Chickens, Owls, and Coffee Cups. If there is one in particular you would like to see offered feel free to let me know about it and I’ll get right on it!

PATTERN RELEASE – Adjustable Mermaid Bikini Top with Matching Headband NB – 2T

Posted on July 15, 2014 by articlesofadomesticgoddess

Pattern Release!

Adjustable Mermaid Bikini Top with Matching Headband NB – 2T

Materials:
H Hook
Preferred Yarn: I love this yarn (any worsted weight yarn will work)
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Measuring tape (to check gauge) (1) ¾ to 1 inch button for headband
(1) ¾ to 1 inch button for bikini band for NB – 9 month sizes
(1) ¾ to 1 inch button for bikini band for 12 month – 2T sizes
(2) ¾ to 1 inch pearl buttons (1 for center bosom band and 1 for headband)

Skill level: Beginner

Written to match up with the ever popular mermaid tail photo props. Crochet by Jennifer, and Baca Creations both have spectacular Mermaid tail patterns that I LOVE but I wanted a specific top to go with it. I created this for my daughter because I dislike the shell top look. Just wanted to give a different alternative for this very popular set.

Bikini top and headband are written to fit NB – 2T. I cannot stand when I create something that it does not fit for long. These are written so that they are adjustable within reason. NB should stretch to fit comfortably for a while. Also it maybe your desire to use the large 6 month size for a nb as the buttonholes will overlap and fit a nb for a little while and still look nice. Sizing and measurements are included, so babies who measure bigger/smaller should have no problem finding the right sizing in this pattern.

Starfish and halter straps are removable and optional. There are many options and different ways this

As always! Check out the amazing tester photos on Ravelry! Those ladies work hard and have some of the cutest models!

If anyone has any interest in this pattern for sizes larger than 2T please message me. I am torn as to whether I will offer this pattern from 2T to teen sizes. I do have a lot of requests in the Adult size and if you concur I would also like to hear it.
